Clergy & Believers

The Priests and Priestesses of Aventÿr have all been touched by luck in one way or another. Some closer than others. But everyone has their own interpretation of what they see in Aventÿr. After all, it's obvious, a fighter raised in battle does not share the same experience of good fortune as the explorer who found the right grimoire in a dusty library! This is why the temples of Aventÿr all have their own hierarchy, independence and doctrinal interpretation. (By the way, it is a gold mine of knowledge and learning to visit different temples to admire the omnipotence of Aventÿr!)

Nevertheless there is one thing that all have in common, it is to favor spontaneity in action, risk-taking, the audacity to go further, to do and to live rather than being idle and letting oneself carried by the course of events. They will always encourage you in your projects!

For the clergy, those who enjoy the greatest fortune are those who take the most risks and the boldest adventurers. The religious salute the miraculous success of these heroes on their return from dangerous lands, especially if they come back more accomplished.

The believers

Explorers, adventurers, merchants and simple travelers place their destiny in the hands of The Goddess to ensure a smooth journey in order to be protected from misadventures, thieves, ratmen...

But The Goddess is also and above all present when her followers intend to obtain knowledge or make profit! Whether it's researching nuisances, finding lost treasure, betting in a tavern, or taking risks in markets and auctions! Fighters pray for advantageous battles, unnecessary injuries, and quick healing, knowing that they are in good hands if the healer is themselves a follower of The Goddess!

This is what we can hear from Aventÿr believers from all walks of life:

“Take a risk or lose your chance!” (High Priestess)
"Fortune or Death" War Cry
“Risk is life itself. You can only risk your life. And if we don't risk it, we don't live.” Front Fighter
"For the Flouze!" Call for luck (game, trade)
“A handful of luck is better than a bag full of wisdom.” Auction bettor
"He who tries nothing is wrong only once." Tradespeople
“To dare to risk is, essentially, to lead a free existence.” Long-distance adventurers
“To want to eliminate all risks, it is life itself that is reduced to nothing.” Heard from an adventurer mentor outside a tavern
“Impose your luck, squeeze your happiness and go to your risk.” Adventÿr priestess to her explorer son
“On paths without risks, only the weak are sent.” Expeditionary Forces

If you recognize yourself through these world, maybe you shall get closer to Aventÿr, who knows?
